American Trucking Deserves American-Built Technology

SILVERLINE ELD LLC was founded with a straightforward conviction: the men and women who keep American freight moving deserve technology that was designed specifically for them — not adapted from overseas hardware, not rebranded from a third-party manufacturer, and not engineered to the lowest compliant standard.

We are a technology company headquartered in West Chester, Ohio, and we build everything in-house. Our electronic logging device and telematics hardware is designed, developed, and manufactured under one roof by an American team that understands the demands of commercial trucking from the ground up. From the circuit board to the firmware to the cloud platform that fleet managers log into every morning — it's all ours.

We didn’t enter this market to sell a commodity. We entered it because we saw a gap between what carriers actually need and what most ELD vendors are offering. Generic hardware. Offshore components. Platforms built for checkbox compliance and nothing more. SILVERLINE was built to close that gap.

One Device. Built to Do More.

At the core of SILVERLINE's platform is a purpose-built hardware device that we engineered from the ground up — not sourced, not white-labeled, not assembled from off-the-shelf telematics components. Every design decision was made with commercial trucking in mind, from the connector tolerances to the cellular radio selection to the enclosure rating.

“Most ELD devices on the market are bare-minimum boxes — they log hours and stop there. We designed ours to be the intelligence layer of the entire truck.”

Dual-Purpose: ELD + Full Telematics in a Single Unit

The SILVERLINE device handles both electronic logging built to FMCSA technical specifications and comprehensive fleet telematics simultaneously, without compromise to either function. There's no separate telematics module to install, no additional subscription for engine diagnostics, no second device occupying cab space. One plug-in. One platform. Complete visibility.

Built on the Latest Technology

Our hardware incorporates technology that most ELD vendors haven't prioritized because it costs more to build right:

U.S. GPS Technology

Our device runs on the U.S. Government-operated Global Positioning System — the gold standard in satellite navigation — delivering precise, reliable location tracking that holds up in urban corridors, mountain passes, and loading dock environments.

High-Frequency ECM Polling

We pull engine data at intervals that make real predictive maintenance possible — not just fault codes after they’ve triggered, but the trend data that precedes them.

Dual-Band Cellular Connectivity

Our device maintains connection across carrier networks with automatic failover, minimizing data gaps in rural and low-coverage areas.

Hardened Enclosure

Rated for the full temperature range a commercial truck cab experiences — from a Minnesota winter startup to a Texas summer idle — and vibration-resistant for long-haul durability.

Secure Boot & Encrypted Firmware

Every device runs authenticated firmware only. Unauthorized modifications are blocked at the hardware level, protecting both data integrity and the accuracy of your HOS records.

OBD-II / J1939 / J1708 Compatibility

Works with virtually any commercial vehicle in operation today, from late-model trucks with modern CAN bus systems to older assets with J1708 diagnostic interfaces.

What It Captures

Because we control the hardware, we control the data depth. The SILVERLINE device captures:

  • Hours-of-Service records and eRODS built to FMCSA technical specifications

  • Real-time and historical GPS position, heading, and speed

  • Engine RPM, fuel consumption rate, idle time, and throttle position

  • Coolant temperature, oil pressure, and battery voltage trends

  • Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) with timestamp and resolution tracking

  • Hard braking, rapid acceleration, and harsh cornering events

  • Odometer and engine hours for maintenance scheduling

  • Geofence entry and exit events with dwell time

The Intelligence Layer Your Fleet Has Been Missing

Hardware without software is just a sensor. The SILVERLINE cloud platform is where raw telematics data becomes something fleet managers can actually act on — a unified dashboard that covers compliance, vehicle health, driver performance, and operational efficiency in one place.

For Fleet Managers

A real-time view of every asset, every driver, and every alert that matters — without the noise. Our platform is built for people who manage fleets, not for people who enjoy learning software. Clean interface, meaningful data, and reporting that doesn’t require a data analyst to interpret.

For Drivers

A mobile application designed to make the ELD experience as frictionless as possible. Simple duty status changes, clear HOS countdown timers, one-tap DVIR submission, and instant roadside inspection data transfer. Drivers who use our app spend less time on compliance and more time on the road.

For Safety Directors

Driver behavior scoring, incident correlation, maintenance documentation, and audit-ready compliance records — all in one place. When a DOT audit comes or an insurance renewal is on the table, SILVERLINE users walk in with documentation, not anxiety.

Why American-Built Means Something Here

The decision to design and build our hardware in-house, in the United States, wasn’t the easy path. It would have been simpler — and cheaper — to source a certified device from an overseas manufacturer, put our name on it, and compete on price. A lot of ELD companies have done exactly that.

We made a different choice, and it shapes everything about what we deliver:

No Middlemen, No Compromises

When we design the hardware, we control every specification. There’s no third-party manufacturer making tradeoffs we didn’t approve, no supply chain we don’t understand, and no black box components we can’t support. If something needs to change — a firmware update, a hardware revision, a new sensor integration — we do it ourselves.

Support From People Who Built It

Our technical support team works directly with the engineers who designed the device. When a carrier calls with a diagnostic question or a roadside compliance issue, they’re talking to people who understand the hardware at a component level — not a script-reading call center overseas.

Data Security You Can Trust

All SILVERLINE customer data is stored and processed on servers located within the United States. We don’t route your fleet data through foreign infrastructure, and we don’t use overseas data centers to cut costs. For carriers moving sensitive freight or operating under government contracts, that matters.

Long-Term Investment in the Product

We’re not a reseller with a thin margin and a vendor dependency. We invest in our hardware and platform because it’s the only product we make. When the FMCSA updates technical specifications, or when new vehicle architectures require new interfaces, we adapt — because we own the entire stack.

What Drives Us

“Our mission is simple: give every carrier — from the single owner-operator to the regional fleet — access to technology that was once reserved for the largest companies in the industry, built to the standards American trucking deserves.”

We measure our success by what our customers can accomplish. A driver who gets through a roadside inspection without a second thought. A fleet manager who catches a brake issue before it becomes a breakdown call. A safety director who walks into a DOT audit with confidence. An owner-operator who finally understands what their truck is telling them.

That’s what we’re building toward, one device and one platform at a time.

Our Values

  • Integrity first.

We don’t cut corners on hardware quality, and we don’t make promises our platform can’t keep. Carriers trust us with their compliance and their data — we take that seriously.

  • Built to last.

Cheap hardware fails at the worst times. We engineer for the real conditions of commercial trucking — heat, vibration, long hours, and demanding schedules.

  • Transparency.

Our pricing is straightforward. Our data practices are disclosed. Our support team tells you the truth, even when it’s not what you want to hear.

  • Always improving.

The trucking industry evolves. Regulations change. Technology advances. We’re committed to continuous investment in our hardware and platform so that our customers never fall behind.

  • American craftsmanship.

We’re proud to design and build in the United States. That pride shows up in the product.

Built for Every Carrier, From One Truck to One Hundred

SILVERLINE is designed to scale with your operation. Whether you’re an independent owner-operator who needs bulletproof HOS compliance and a device that just works, or a regional carrier managing a mixed fleet across multiple terminals who needs deep telematics, predictive maintenance alerts, and API integrations with your TMS — we built the platform to handle both without asking you to choose between simplicity and capability.

Our Values

  • Owner-operators and small fleets seeking reliable HOS record-keeping without complexity

  • Regional and long-haul carriers looking for a telematics platform that goes beyond log management

  • Fleet safety directors who need defensible, audit-ready compliance documentation

  • Operations managers focused on fuel efficiency, asset utilization, and driver performance

  • Carriers who have been burned by cheap devices or unreliable vendors and want something built right

Owner-Operators vs. Large Fleets: Choosing the Right ELD Setup for Your Operation

The ELD market is not one-size-fits-all, even though it’s sometimes treated that way. An owner-operator running a single truck across three states has fundamentally different needs than a regional carrier managing 200 assets across a multi-state network. Getting the wrong setup doesn’t just mean paying for features you don’t use — it can mean missing […]
